Fujian Shipowners’ Association celebrated the 20th anniversary of its establishment on 28th December 2018. Present were about 200 attendees from Fujian Department of Transportation, Fujian MSA, Fujian Provincial Communication Transportation Group Co., Ltd, Fujian Shipowners’ Association, shipowner members, PICC, CPIC and other units.
Director Yang Yunfu of this law firm was invited to the anniversary and addressed on Several Issues of Preventing Risk of Dispute over Maritime Transportation. Relating to pertinent issues of associated ship arrest in South Africa and ship arrest in Hong Kong, Singapore and Mainland China, he gave a detailed analysis on how to prevent ship arrest. Views were also given to the delivery of goods without original bill of lading and lien on cargo by the carrier/charterer due to freight and rent. The attendees spoke highly of his speech.
Director Yang has been serving as the permanent council for Fujian Shipowners’ Association since 2017.
Director Hu Yongcheng from Xiamen office and Director Liangsu from Fuzhou office also participated in the anniversary.
