Brief Introduce of Foreign-related cases handle by Ms.Liang Su:
1、The case of the oil spill of the vessel "JASMIN JOY" in Luoyuan Bay
On March 22, 2014, the vessel "JASMIN JOY" belonging to TOKYO GULF MARITIME INC. had an oil spill accident near the wharf of Fujian Huadong Shipyard Co. The oil spill caused serious pollution to the farming facilities of nearby farmers and led to the death of the farming animals to different degrees. On behalf of the farmers, Mr. Liang Su sued TOKYO GULF MARITIME INC. in Xiamen Maritime Court. After maximum efforts, including collecting evidence, commissioning damage assessment and defending the case, the case was settled with the defendant and the legal rights of the farmers were greatly protected.
2、Dispute over Cargo Damage to the Vessel "Daniel"
Fuzhou Jijia Oil Co.,Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Jijia") purchased Canadian rapeseed from a Canadian company. The cargo was loaded onboard the vessel "Danhil" owned by Danhil Shipping Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Danhil Company") from Canada to Fuzhou, China, and Danhil Company issued a bill of lading.
3、The vessel "CMA CGM G.WASHINGTON" containers overboard claim case
In mid-January 2018, the vessel "CMA CGM G.WASHINGTON" was loaded with container cargoes from the ports of Fuqing and Xiamen in China and sailed to Los Angeles, U.S.A., including cargoes such as monitors belonging to the insured TPV Group, which was insured by PICC Rongcheng Branch. In late January 2018, the insured TPV Group was notified by the carrier that the vessel "CMA CGM G.WASHINGTON" encountered heavy winds and waves in the North Pacific Ocean on its way to Los Angeles, USA, resulting in the loss of 9 containers and damage to 3 containers that fell off the deck. PICC Rongsheng Branch finally paid the insured for the damage and instructed Ms. Liang Su to recover the compensation. After the exchange of evidence, court hearings, and numerous communications with the court and negotiations with the defendant, we finally reached a settlement with the carrier.
