From 24 November to 25 November 2012, China Lawyers: 2012 International Seminar on Maritime Law hosted by Maritime Law Committee of China Lawyer’s Association was held in International Conference Center of Meilanhu Resort, Shanghai. Yang & Lin served as one of the sponsors.
Mr. Colin Yang (managing partner of Yang & Lin), Mr. Wei Mingzhong (managing partner of Shanghai Office) and Mr. Zhang Guoqing (lawyer of Shanghai Office) attended this seminar.
Mr. Colin Yang gave a lecture named Discussion on Several Issues of Compensation against Pollution of Shipborne Bulk Liquid Chemicals - Brief Introduction to the Accident of the Sinking of the South Korean Vessel “Kenos Athena” Loaded with Sulphuric Acid. Mr. Yang made analyses by combining the case of the accident of the South Korean chemical tanker “Kenos Athena” loaded with 7000 tons of sulphuric acid sinking in Shanwei waters of Guangdong on 13 March 2012. The lecture was spoken highly of by the attendees.
