On the morning of 2 April 2018, Zhou Jian, the mainland business manager of M.C.A. Lai Solicitors LLP, and his colleagues visited Yang & Lin, and received warm welcome from Judy Lin and her lawyer team. Both sides had a fervent discussion over the establishment of a partnership.
According to Mr. Zhou, M.C.A. Lai Solicitors LLP was a medium-scaled law firm in Hong Kong with more than 50 legal professionals. It was competitive and reputable. The law firm forged strategic partnership with several renowned large law firms in the mainland to provide clients with all-round legal service. The main business of the law firm are:
1.Listing and financing;
2.Service for investment based immigration and first preference employment based Immigration to multiple countries;
3.Asset trust management;
4.Arbitration and mediation of mainland-Hong Kong commercial disputes, litigation of mainland-Hong Kong disputes over public equity and civil claims, and enforcement of judgments;
5.Service for registering company in Hong Kong, overseas and offshore, setting up foreign-funded representative office, and acting as a intellectual property or notarization agency;
6.Purchase of overseas real estates with legal and intermediary service
After the discussion, both sides reached an agreement on a cooperation framework and decided to arrange for a lecture targeted at entrepreneurs in May 2018 which would be mainly about:
1.How to apply for asset trust overseas;
2.How mainland companies go public and get financed in Hong Kong;
3.Procedures and requirements for immigration to Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, etc.
At the end of meeting, Mr. Zhou,representing M.C.A. Lai Solicitors LLP, and Mr. Yang, representing Yang & Lin Co. Law Firm, signed a cooperation agreement. Both sides expressed their confidence in the prospect of the cooperation between the two law firms, and expected to share resources and develop business together for a win-win situation.
