From July 2009 to September 2011, he worked with Fujian Rentai Insurance Adjusters Co., Ltd. on ship average/machine damage survey, On/Off Hire Survey, pre-entry condition survey of ships and cargo damage/loss survey.
From October 2011 to March 2017, he worked as a trainee lawyer and later as a lawyer in Yang & Lin Co. Law Firm. Since April 2017, he has served as the director of Xiamen Office of Yang & Lin Co. Law Firm;
Mr. HU Yongcheng not only has hand-on experience of maritime shipping, but also has handled numerous maritime survey and adjustment cases. HU is well versed in dealing with disputes on marine insurance, cargo damage and loss, bills of lading, and casualties at sea.
Typical foreign-related cases:
In 2019, the Hong Kong-registered SILVER SAFETY collided with a fishing boat at Fuzhou sea area, causing the boat to sink and eight people on board dead. Lawyer Hu represented SILVER SAFETY SHIPPING LIMITED, the owner of the vessel, to handle the case quickly and was recognized by the owner.
In 2021, the Panamanian registered "VIMC GREEN" collided with the shore crane at the terminal of Putian, Fujian Province, and the terminal claimed about RMB6.77 million. Lawyer Hu represented VIMC GREEN COMPANY, the owner of the "VIMC GREEN", and The london P&I Club to handle the case. Finally, the owneronly paid 2.38 million, which was lower than the owner's expectation. and Mr Hu was highly appraised.
In 2022, the Dubai-registered "S 'Hail AL DUKHAN" collided with a fishing boat in Shantou waters, resulting in the sinking of the fishing boat and the death of five people on board. Lawyer Hu represents the owner of S 'Hail AL DUKHAN, S 'Hail SHIPPING AND MARITIME SERVICES and its association Steamship Insurance Management Services Limited's handling of the case and was highly regarded.
